The 2025 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, witnessed a groundbreaking moment in rock and metal fashion history as Riot Stitch Rockwear, in collaboration with co-sponsor Live Love Rock, debuted the first-ever Metal Catwalk. The high-energy event merged electrifying fashion with hard-hitting rock ‘n’ roll, proving that style in the metal world is just as fierce as its sound.
I had the immense honor of working alongside Riot Stitch and supporting this revolutionary showcase. Meeting designer and visionary Sherri Lu in February 2024 marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration that has fueled the growth of both our businesses. From referrals to social media spotlights and utilizing each other’s services, our partnership has been instrumental in amplifying the rock fashion scene. More importantly, our collaboration exemplifies how women supporting women leads to tangible success, helping us expand our networks, increase brand visibility, and create groundbreaking opportunities in rock and metal fashion. By working together, we continue to elevate not just our own businesses but also inspire other women in the industry. It is an honor to call Sherri Lu a friend too. As her publicist, it was a proud moment to see my logo, which she designed, displayed on the event’s banner.
A Rock ‘n’ Roll Runway Like No Other
The Riot Stitch Metal Catwalk was not just a fashion show—it was a high-voltage spectacle of rebellion and creativity. Co-sponsored by Live Love Rock, the event delivered an avant-garde fusion of Hollywood glam and metallic edge, setting the stage for a historic collision of rock ‘n’ roll and fashion.
“Riot Stitch Metal Catwalk Debut at NAMM 2025 Anaheim Convention Center was everything I wanted! Perfectly blending metallic designs with avant-garde Hollywood glam! Michael Starr and my models killed it! It wasn't just a catwalk. It was the first time in NAMM history to set the stage for a match between rock ‘n’ roll and fashion! It's ALL HAPPENING," said Sherri Lu, the creative force behind Riot Stitch.
Sherri’s fearless creativity and sharp eye for bold silhouettes, striking colors, and stage-ready styles have turned Riot Stitch into a go-to brand for musicians who demand statement-making fashion. Her designs bring an edge that’s both rebellious and sophisticated, making waves in the rock and metal world.
Metal Meets the Runway
The Metal Catwalk featured both male and female models—including Michael Starr of Steel Panther—who strutted the stage in Riot Stitch’s latest designs. But this wasn’t just a typical runway; guitarists unleashed face-melting solos alongside the models, turning the event into an electrifying performance reminiscent of a full-scale rock show.

Born in China and now based in Southern California, Sherri Lu has been designing and rocking her own styles since her 20s. Officially launching Riot Stitch in 2020, she quickly built a cult following, dressing some of the biggest names in rock and metal.
